As the developer of “Landscape Photography Helper”, we value your privacy and do our best to protect it. This policy explains when the app uses, stores, or uploads data. If you have any questions, you can contact us at syx151@qq.com.
We do not show ads, send marketing push notifications, sell your data, or use your data for advertising tracking across apps or websites.
Location permission: Some map, AR, sun/moon direction, and related features need your current location to show your position on the map, calculate shooting directions, or display celestial positions. Location information is mainly used temporarily on your device and discarded after use. We do not upload your precise location, location history, or searched locations to our servers for analytics. To provide location and map capabilities, the app may call system location services and map/location SDKs. Those services or SDKs may process information related to location, device, and network status according to their own rules. You can deny or turn off location permission in system settings. Most features will still work, but features that depend on your current location may not provide accurate results.
Camera permission: When you use AR, zoomable AR, and similar features, the app needs access to the camera view for framing and overlay display. The camera view is used only for the current feature. We do not upload or store your camera view.
Local data: Plans, markers, favorites, and similar content you create are stored by default in the “Landscape Photography Helper” data directory on your device. We do not automatically back up this content to our servers. If your device is lost, damaged, or the app data is deleted, this local data may not be recoverable.
Account login: If you sign in, the app creates a random account device ID and sends it to our account server to manage session security and the three-device login limit. This ID is not a hardware serial number and is not used for advertising tracking.
Module usage analytics: To understand how features are used, evaluate feature effectiveness, and improve the product, we record and upload a small number of module entry events. Each record may include: a random UUID generated when the app first runs (used to distinguish an installation/device; it is not Apple IDFA and not a hardware serial number), platform, app version, module name, entry time, and whether the current user has Pro capability (Free/Pro status). This data is used only for analytics, such as module visit counts, active device counts, platform distribution, and trend changes.
Module usage analytics does not include your name, email address, account, photos, camera view, precise location, shooting plans, map markers, or search content. We do not use this analytics data for third-party advertising, marketing pushes, or tracking across apps/websites, and we do not sell it to data brokers.
Upload control: Analytics data is usually stored locally first and uploaded asynchronously in the background the next time you open the app or return it from the background to the foreground. The server can disable uploads. When uploads are disabled, the app stops uploading and, when necessary, also stops local recording.
Tencent Maps SDK: The provider is Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Company Limited. Its purpose is to provide map display, location display, and related map features when you select Tencent Maps. The SDK may process network type, device model, screen density and size, operating system and version, location information, IP address, and IDFV. The SDK is initialized only after your express consent. Official SDK privacy policy: https://privacy.qq.com/document/preview/a10a8634f237464da9a95f4f07e73e40
